The Pet Owner will complete a PetFile™ which will include specific instructions on how they would like their pet cared for in the unfortunate event something happens to them. This may include things like: needed exercise, preferred food, allergies, medications, etc. You will receive an email link to the PetFile™ when the initial pet registration is complete and have access immediately via email alerts in an emergency.[/su_spoiler]

[su_spoiler title=”What are the other ways I can help?” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”pgfaq2″ class=”faqa”]
There are lots of things you can do to help improve the lives of pets in your community.
First, we recommend you start by ensuring all your pets have an emergency response plan (PetFile™ ) with designated Pet Guardians. Review the PetFile™ information directly with each Pet Guardian to ensure a smooth transition should something happen to you.
Second, help us spread the word. Talk to your family and friends about the importance of having an emergency response plan for your pets and encourage them to register their pets. We continue to seek ways to make it easy for you to be an advocate for responsible pet ownership. Please visit our website, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter pages to learn more.
Finally, there are many opportunities to contribute to the overall welfare of pets in your community. These opportunities include emergency pet rescue/transport, foster care, volunteering with local organizations, etc.[/su_spoiler]

The Pet Guardian Foundation™ is a registered 501 (c3) that was founded to help fund local rescue and shelter organizations who are dedicated to the welfare of pets in our communities. Your generous contributions help raise awareness for the importance of developing an emergency pet plan for every pet, to find the right home for at-risk pets, and, ultimately, achieve our mission of ending the needless euthanasia of pets due to their owners becoming unable to continue to care for them.[/su_spoiler]
